Postdoctoral Researcher: Project: biocompatible metal-catalyzed drug release and/or synthesis
We are looking for a motivated researcher interested in developing new metal-catalyzed chemical reactions that will not only be
water compatible, but will have wider usage for various biological applications. Prior synthetic chemistry experience is a necessary
requirement. Experience with biological experiments is helpful, but not required.
--------------------------------
Graduate Students: We are looking for exceptionally motivated students to conduct experiments in a number of different project fields that include
the development of 1) artificial metallozymes, 2) protein-based approaches for cancer targeting and therapy, and 3) synthetic biology
applications using transition metals. In general, students can expect to acquire skills related to organic synthesis, molecular biology,
protein expression/purification, enzyme kinetic/binding assays, cell imaging, etc
--------------------------------
Undergraduate Students: We don't have a fixed quota, but we are always open to hosting students looking for research
opportunities (research assistant, capstone project). The only requirement is that you are a
willing learner who is passionate
about science!

Interested applicants should e-mail Prof. Vong (kvong@ust.hk) with a curriculum vitae. Although not
necessary, it
would be helpful to include a short description (0.5 page) of your research interests and why you
might want to work
in this group.
